Okie quick update...Girlfwens have officially finished another sem though not so much of a bang this time round. But nonetheless....most of us heading off for a 5 months plus attachment (including holidays) hahah. One of our member is going overseas. Gonna miss her a LOT. Well, meanwhile i guess we are taking as much beauty sleep as possible and catching up with updates and gossips with other peeps. Guess there's nothing much for me to write. But will be back with more news. =)

Well.... amazingly this is the 53th post for our gurlfwen's blog. It's the second half of the first sem of Year 3. Time sure flies. Gurlfwens tried to stay together by meeting up often. Bond not easily broken. Val, Manz and Me over with AH. Ling and Qi still ever close. Then Ling and I get to be classmates. Guess we are still inter-linked hee. Attachment is coming soon. Wonder where we will be posted to. But i guess if we are close, high chance of meeting up during lunch yar? More gossips ahead for future work colleagues and bosses. More bitching about work load. I think we are failing in out attempt to make this gurlfwens blog more popular than X*****'s. Haha dream on right? Anywhoo...into the week 6 of school or so and all us losing interest during lectures. Still great to be together again even though we all are in different classes.

Well...shall start some topic here. Hmmm...government getting a new policy to have more foreign students coming here to study and carry on staying and than replace our people. But will they ever be regarded as a Singaporean even if they become a citizen? Sure, you can speak singlish. Sure, you know our history. Sure, you can eat durian, rojak, chicken rice, laksa even lor mee. But will the society ever be able to accept them? Hmmm.... hahaha am i like talking about WISP? Well...inspired i would say. I myself do not have anything aganist them. If my neighbours are all foreigners and they are nice. I'm happy to be living "with" them. Singapore is a mulit-racial country but i think we are becoming more of a mulit-country place. Singaporeans are all heading overseas. Belinda's show will show you some of us who are living overseas and benefitting the overseas people through charity work.

I think for Singapore, it has become if we do certain things we get tax benefits. Like i used to promote the sale of charity tickets for a couple of weekends and we were told that the people who buy this can send this along with their tax assessment form and get tax exemption. It then become included in our sales pitch. Have we lost the real meaning of doing charity work? Gee...that would seriously be sad.

I think this is the theme song for all those couples who are PDA-ing. Hahaha... as a bystander who is NOT jealous of them. It is rather disturbing for those who is enjoying either a quiet moment or simply trying to concentrate on other things rather than a free show. If the couple is one of those charming pairs, we will be thinking that it's really sweet. IF you are not those whom people will approve of, it will simply results in more bitching and labelling. 2007 February 15 marks the end of Year 2 for us. It is also i suppose our last official outing together together. When school reopens in April, we are all spilt up but on the bright side we still have each other for company. So it's not that bad after all. I guess i shall do a little bit of recap for the GFs journey.

I can vividly recall how we gotten our name. It was thanks to a certain irritating person who referred to us as "guys" and since it was coming out from him, it was unbearable. We then link it with another story and come up with our own clique and groupie of dudette.

GFs first official outing would be the one at KTV. It was fun and all especially our love for cheese that is evident at the Pasta Mania meal. That was back in Year 1. It was funny how we all come about together. All 5 of us with different personality and characteristics. Sometimes i look back and am stil wowed by our togetherness.

From my point of view i shall talk about the impressions that the girls leave on me so far.

1st let's talk about Ms Wanqi affectionally known as Qi. Her love for fun and her dedication to things really touched me. She has brought to me a lot of laughter and joy. All her jokes and her imitation of certain people. Her uniqueness of being herself is really strong that i feel comfortable being myself. What i love most though is her endless energy and boundless optimism.

Next let's move on to Ms Valerie affectionally known as Bear, she is really caring and has always been a strong source of support for me. Why you might ask? Because she seldom let things get to her, so she does help me push bothering things away. I guess it also helps that she is the closest in regards to age. She may be blur and that may affect our conversation but my before exam study buddy is funny with her actions and her words. Never fail to lighten my mood before a paper.

Then we have Ms Yiling lovingly known as Ling, though she is the youngest in the group, she thinks a LOT. I enjoy talking to her, because she always make me laugh with some of her bizarre thoughts. Being sensitive often makes her good listening ear. She can sense i am sad, and cheers me up. Not forgetting she is extremely caring!!! Always asking me to let her know when i arrive home. Sometimes, i feel that she is like an older sister. =P

Last but not least is Ms Manpreet lovingly known as Manz. I really click with this girl. Guess being of fire element we are very passionate people. Our temper are pretty much the same and we just seemed to be travelling along the same wavelength. Her wit is what i most admire about her. She can say the most darnest things sometimes but her confidence really shines through. With her around, i feel that i can take aa break from carrying all that weight because she will help me hold it if i fall. Thanks buddy.

The best thing that happened in my poly life is not that i entered my choice, but because i met these wonderful girls. We are living proof that age is not a matter neither is being of different race. EY i'm not trying to be emo here, i'm just trying to do a recap yar? And also update the blog. hahah if not so dead how can? So anyone else who can remember other nice stories to share?

that fateful rainy afternoon....thunderstorms and lightnings were rippling across the dark skies...there was a huge sense of foreboding as i walked slowly towards that cold place....my heart...was a heavy heart...filled with fear and trepidations...the coldness did not help abate my fear as i felt a gush of wind woosh past me as i stepped into the treshold of fear...it was the 26th of october 2006....THE DAY ME AND VAL DONATED BLOOD!!! lol...pardon the "drama-mama" effect...caught your ateention didn't it? *heehee* by the way..that cold place is Convention Centre...haha...it was seriosuly cold ok? the aircon ah...!
I actually have this phobia of needles and i can't believe i went through donating blood man! here are some pics....
